Phil Steele's annual prediction as to what the teams AP voters will end up with at the top of their initial 2022 Top 25 AP Preseason Poll . . . with a general feeling as to how they will be ranked:
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. Clemson
5. Texas A&M
6. Notre Dame
7. Michigan
8. Utah
9. Oklahoma
10. Oregon
Footnote: Steele advises he's been (1) doing this one for thirteen years, (2) wrong on just five teams in that period, and (3) perfect in the last four years.
Comment: Kind of funny, a yearly prediction of what others will include in their prediction! Guess that keeps college football fans interested (and subscriptions up) when there's not much to talk about at this time of the year.
P.S. Worth remembering that Old Phil sometimes fudges a bit regarding his historical accuracy.
