As reported by NBC Sports . . .
"Former Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis received his final buyout payment of $2.054 million from the university in 2015 . . . The $2-plus million buyouts were paid in addition to the $6.6 million Weis received upon his 2009 firing to bring the final total to $19,967,960. Subsequently, the University of Kansas paid Weis a buyout in the neighborhood of $6 million. Bringing his combined buyout total to around $25 million . . . in addition to the compensation he received while serving as the offensive coordinator at Florida and with the Kansas City Chiefs."
Comment: Weis' NIL must have looked really good on paper, because he went 35-27 in five seasons at Notre Dame and 6-22 in three campaigns at Kansas.
