USC 45, Stanford 20 Huh . . . Look what happens when I don't bet money on my beloved Trojans:
I end up having a very nice evening in the Coliseum like I haven't enjoyed since Sam Darnold left town. So, I just might try it again next week.
But, the absence of the Trojangles Curse doesn't deserve all the credit for what happened . . . In his first start as a USC QB, Kedon Slovis (a three star quarterback recruit coming out of high school) completed 84.3 percent of his passes and led four TD drives of at least 70 yards. He also spread the ball out incredibly well, hitting completions to eight different receivers. Slovis' 377 passing yards tonight bested every USC passing total from last season, and he finished with a QB rating of 210.1.

This morning I was listening to John Kinkade and he said that since uw lost the PAC-12 has no chance of a team being in the playoffs. That may true, but I think 3 or 4 PAC teams are starting out 2-0, so who knows?
